Clear practices. Proportionate collection. Human accountability.
This notice explains how BAUS handles personal information connected with its public website and business relationships. It does not replace the confidentiality, security, or data-processing terms agreed for a specific client engagement.
01
Scope and who is responsible
This notice applies when BAUS Consulting Group, LLC (BAUS) determines how personal information is handled through bausglobal.com, Strategic Reviews, contact requests, Insight Brief access, events, business development, and related communications. A separate agreement or notice may govern information processed for a client during an engagement.
02
Information we collect
We may collect identifiers and professional information such as your name, organization, title, work email, telephone number, location, inquiry source, decision relationship, priorities, resource readiness, communications preferences, and information you include in a form or message. Our systems and service providers may also process device, browser, IP address, security, access, and diagnostic information.
03
How information is collected
We collect information directly from you, from an organization or authorized representative acting for you, from established referral sources, and from routine website and communications technologies. Please do not submit confidential client materials, trade secrets, regulated data, or sensitive personal information through a public website form.
04
Why we use information
We use information to respond to requests; conduct human review of Strategic Review submissions; deliver requested briefs; evaluate potential fit; arrange conversations; manage relationships and engagements; secure and improve our services; maintain records; meet legal obligations; and establish, exercise, or defend legal rights. Where required, our basis may be consent, performance of a contract, a legal obligation, or a legitimate business interest assessed against individual rights.
05
Human review and responsible automation
Configured systems may acknowledge, organize, route, summarize, or flag submissions. BAUS requires appropriate human review before releasing a client-facing recommendation, scope, proposal, or material advisory conclusion. We do not use public website submissions to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
06
Disclosure and service providers
We may disclose only the information reasonably needed to providers supporting hosting, security, records, workflow automation, communications, scheduling, contracting, payment, and authenticated client workspaces; to professional advisers; to authorities when lawfully required; or in connection with a business transaction. We do not sell personal information for money. If our practices later constitute a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law, we will provide the required notice and choices before enabling that practice.
07
International processing
BAUS serves organizations globally. Information may be processed in the United States and in other locations where BAUS or its providers operate. Where applicable law requires a transfer safeguard, BAUS will use an appropriate contractual or legal mechanism.
08
Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, the relationship involved, legal and contractual obligations, dispute prevention, and security. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards proportionate to the information and require appropriate handling by providers. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure.
09
Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or an appeal. You may also opt out of nonessential communications. We may verify your identity and may retain information where an exception or legal obligation applies. BAUS will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
10
Children, links, and updates
The website is intended for business audiences and not directed to children under 16. Third-party websites have their own privacy practices. We may update this notice as our services, systems, or legal obligations change and will post the revised effective date here.
